Our Hitachi Mini Excavators
We offer Hitachi mini excavators to any project requiring tight-access excavation or excavation around infrastructure including powerlines.
Our mini excavators are fully mine spec, with safety rails, anti-burst valves, cut out switches (internal and external), and exhaust socks to comply with all mine site regulations. In line with general safety regulations on construction sites across Australia, they feature tilt hitches and hydraulic safety pins.
Both compatible with buckets, ripper attachments, and rock breakers, these mini excavators are versatile and fully equipped for a range of projects. Don’t be fooled by their size, either – as rubber tracked excavators, these Hitachi minis can operate on all terrains, packing a punch wherever you need them.
Hitachi ZX17U-5S 1.7 Tonne Excavator
Our 1.7 tonne excavator features a height limiter and is also compatible with our 150mm tilt bucket attachments for hire.
Hitachi ZX55U-5 5.5 Tonne Excavator
Our 5.5 tonne excavator features a Prolec height watch system and is also compatible with our 1200mm bucket attachments for hire.
Our Caterpillar Mini and Midi Excavators
AUSDIG’s Caterpillar mini and midi excavators for hire are fully mine spec, compatible with a range of machine attachments, and available with or without an expert machine operator across Australia. These excavators come with 3D GPS, LPS & UTS systems, tilt hitch and hydraulic safety pins, dual grade laser boom receivers, rubber tracks, and Prolec Heightwatch systems.
Our Hitachi Midi and Medium Excavators
All our Hitachi midi and medium excavators are fully mine spec, including safety rales, anti-burst valves, cut out switches (both internal and external), and exhaust socks. They all feature safety systems including tilt hitches, hydraulic safety pins, and height and slew restrictions. All include GPS-integrated systems and are compatible with a wide range of attachments including tilt buckets, rippers, rock breaker attachments, and auger drives.
Hitachi ZX85US 8 Tonne Excavator
Our rubber-tracked 8 tonne excavator comes with Topcon GPS, LPS & UTS dual grade laser and boom receivers, and a PME 400 height and slew regulators.
Hitachi ZX13.5 13 Tonne Excavator
Our 13 tonne excavator comes with 3D GPS, LPS & UTS, LOADRITE L2180 loader scales, and a Prolec PME 500 dig, height, slew, radius, and cut-out regulator.

All our Caterpillar excavators are compatible with a range of attachments for hire, including buckets, rippers, rock breaker attachments, and auger drives.
